Chapter 37 Sweet Dreams

Although she was bullied as a child, she grew up in the manor after all. She was exposed to social etiquette and was much more skilled in dealing with nobles than Selsey.

Helping her drive away the noisy crowd, Aurelia finally had the opportunity to talk to Selsey.

"Are you okay?"

Aurelia secretly took Selsey's hand.

"Don't worry."

Selsey squeezed her palm in response.

The two overlapping hands stopped at that point. Now was not the time for a heart-to-heart talk.

The party lasted from day to night. During this period, Aurelia stayed with Selsey and helped her deal with most of the annoying social interactions.

The party finally came to an end in the evening, and Harvin sincerely invited Aurelia to stay in the manor for a few days. Aurelia would not miss this opportunity to get in, and readily agreed.

Selsey's room was arranged on the second floor, and Aurelia's was arranged opposite Selsey's room, with a large space between the two doors.

Aurelia leaned on the railing of the corridor and looked around at the luxury of the manor. She couldn't describe her current feelings. It couldn't even be considered as repression. This place was just a building that was about to be overturned in her hands, although this place had brought her endless pain.

She turned back to her room, locked the door, quickly washed up, and sneaked into Selsi's bedroom.

Selsi was sitting on the bed, her eyes wandering as if waiting for someone.

Aurelia appeared in front of her, and before she spoke, Selsi hugged her waist.

Without words of comfort, Aurelia understood her intentions.

She slowly squatted in front of Selsi and rested her head on her legs.

Selsi stroked Aurelia's dull hair again and again. Her nutrition was so poor, and she would have to supplement her more in the future.

Aurelia was like a black panther being smoothed. She closed her eyes comfortably, and the room was quiet and peaceful.

"Cademon has bad intentions."

Aurelia suddenly spoke, and Selsi thought she was about to fall asleep.

"I know."

Selsi's expression did not change at all.

"I'll be careful."

Her hand pinched Aurelia's earlobe.

Aurelia felt itchy, but she didn't want to move. She loved being close to Selsi.

"But you, if you take a wrong step, you will be doomed."

Selsi frowned slightly. She remembered the old man's nonsense. She didn't dare to imagine Aurelia leaving her.

Aurelia felt Selsi's hand combing her hair slow down. She raised her head, grabbed Selsi's wrist, put it to her lips and kissed her palm.

"I'll be fine."

She swore to Selsi.

Selsi pulled her up and fell on the bed together.

Aurelia propped herself forward to avoid pressing Selsi.

Selsi put her arms around Aurelia's neck and brought her to herself.

Aurelia saved her strength and leaned gently in Selsi's arms. She felt so warm.

The posture on the edge of the bed was a bit uncomfortable. After lying for a while, the two got up and got into the bed.

The two of them lay sideways and hugged each other. Aurelia stared at Selsi's sleeping face. Her sunflowers would bloom forever, and she would have to face the dark and unbearable filth alone.

Tonight, in this place that was once a nightmare, Aurelia had a good dream.

Some people feel warm in a dark place, and people with evil thoughts feel cold in a familiar place.

A cunning voice hummed in the study on the fourth floor.

"You have a good idea, Nereida."

Harvin nodded with satisfaction after listening to Nereida's words.

"If she can be used by us, then I can be merciful and bypass her. If not..."

Harvin looked at the woman in front of him coldly: "You know what to do."

Nereida nodded obediently.

Harvin hummed with satisfaction. She has always been a smart person.

After leaving the study, Nereida went down to the third floor. Her room was right above Selsi's room.

Looking down at Aurelia's door, she stretched out her hand and gestured to pinch the door.

"He is just a lowly commoner. As long as there are enough benefits, his loyalty will be easily obtained."
