Chapter 373: Back to University, My Childhood Beauty is Silly
"You little brat, I asked you to counsel Yishu, but you just lie down at the head of her bed?"
Late at night, Zheng Jiaxin was processing orders from North American customers in front of the computer while listening to the whispers in the next room, feeling a little complicated.
There was no way. The sound insulation of this house was very poor. Even if Chen Jianghe and Jiang Yishu were talking in a low voice, Zheng Jiaxin could hear it clearly. From time to time, there were also a few cat meows.
The two people in the next room were not alone, there was a fat orange cat on the bed.
This cat used to be a stray cat in the community, and was later adopted by Zheng Jiaxin. It is usually not at home, but comes back on time for mealtime, and occasionally stays on Jiang Yishu's bed.
It was not shy at all. It meowed and rubbed against Chen Jianghe's arms, being much more enthusiastic than Jiang Yishu.
Chen Jianghe didn't bother to be polite with it. He raised his hand and stroked it from its head to its tail. He then held its paws and performed a set of cat punches in the air. After he was done, he carried it out of the room.
With a bang, the door closed.
The orange cat's world darkened.
Chen Jianghe turned his head and saw Jiang Yishu looking at him.
Chen Jianghe raised his hand to turn off the main light in the bedroom , leaving the bedside lamp for illumination. He walked to the bed and sat down next to Jiang Yishu: "Am I a bad guy?"
"Yeah, very bad." Jiang Yishu moved to the side while answering.
Chen Jianghe lay down on his side, resting his head on her legs: "I feel a little dizzy."
"Let me rub it for you."
Jiang Yishu gently placed her hands on his temples and massaged them gently: "In the future, you should smoke less, stay up less late, and drink less."
"Yes." Chen Jianghe nodded in agreement. He was a very self-disciplined person. He had already quit smoking, drank less alcohol, and changed his habit of staying up late. "Please supervise me in the future."
Hearing this, Jiang Yishu paused for a moment: "I...I still feel bad."
"Where does it hurt?" Chen Jianghe asked.
"In my heart." Jiang Yishu answered truthfully.
Chen Jianghe raised his hand: "Let me rub it for you."
"No." Jiang Yishu pursed her lips and refused softly: "I can rub it myself."
"Hmm?" Chen Jianghe raised his eyebrows. This sounded a little wrong.
Jiang Yishu herself also realized that something was wrong, her cheeks suddenly flushed, she turned her head to look away, and then asked him: "Aren't you going back to school tonight?"
"Do you want to drive me away?" Chen Jianghe asked.
"I don't want to." Jiang Yishu shook her head.
"Then I'll stay with you." Chen Jianghe stood up and hugged her: "Why is your hair a little wet?"
"Sweating." Jiang Yishu replied.
"Why is your body shaking all the time?" Chen Jianghe asked again.
"Nervous." Jiang Yishu reached out and pushed him: "You touched me."
Chen Jianghe couldn't help laughing: "Why are you so cute?"
Jiang Yishu pursed her lips and said nothing.
Chen Jianghe pinched her delicate cheeks and said with a smile: "If I could write a novel, I would definitely write you into a campus-themed book. I have already thought of the title, it's called "Returning to University, My Childhood Beauty is Silly"."
Jiang Yishu blinked: "Why return?"
"As for novels, people only read them if they are about rebirth and making up for regrets. Otherwise, without gimmicks and cheat codes, they will easily fail." Chen Jianghe explained seriously, and asked by the way: "You don't want your brother to fail when he first enters the literary world, do you?"
"I don't want to." Jiang Yishu shook her head seriously.
"It has to be you." Chen Jianghe smiled and said, "Verbal support is not enough. The heart of the failed author is very cold. Hug me and call me brother to warm up the audience."
Jiang Yishu looked up at him, and after a moment of silence, she took the initiative to hug him, leaned close to his ear and whispered, "Brother."
"Hey." Chen Jianghe responded with a smile on his face, but his eyes seemed to be filled with sand. He only had red eyes but no tears the night he made his confession over the phone. But when he heard Jiang Yishu call him brother, he actually felt like crying for a moment.
“Crack.”
The bedroom door suddenly opened, and the orange cat that Chen Jianghe had just left outside jumped in cursing.
"Has this dog become a spirit? It can even open the door?" Chen Jianghe was a little puzzled.
"It's called brat, not dog." Jiang Yishu corrected softly.
Chen Jianghe raised his eyebrows and said, "No wonder your IQ is so high, it turns out you take after me."
As he was speaking, the orange cat jumped onto the bed, ignoring Chen Jianghe's presence, and nestled into Jiang Yishu's arms.
"Can you just lie in my wife's arms?"
Chen Jianghe held the cat's leg and said, "Stand up and perform a backflip for me to liven up the atmosphere."
When Jiang Yishu heard this, her cheeks turned red, and she quietly recalled the night when she went home with him to see the cat.
Zheng Jiaxin from next door was a bit overwhelmed, so she hurried over to take the cat away and went downstairs for a walk.
"Can we go downstairs and take a walk too?" Jiang Yishu asked.
"Okay." Chen Jianghe knew that she probably didn't want that kind of thing right now, so he wouldn't force her.
The night is lonely. As October approaches, the temperature in eastern Guangdong still maintains a high temperature range of 26-35 degrees Celsius. The evening breeze is still mixed with the anxiety of the day, blowing on the body warm and sticky, making it easy to sweat after walking for a while.
There are no thick dark clouds in the sky. The deep blue night sky illuminated by city lights is covered with sparkling evening stars. A crescent moon hangs high in the sky. A few idle floating clouds lightly cover the faint moonlight. The rustling sound of insects occasionally comes from the tree-lined path, which is quiet and lively.
Jiang Yishu obviously liked this kind of night spent alone with Chen Jianghe. She didn't hold hands with him, but instead followed his example, with her hands behind her back, walking forward with a bounce. Her brisk steps revealed a rare liveliness, and the smile on the corner of her mouth was somewhat playful.
After walking a long way, Jiang Yishu raised her hand to wipe the sweat off her face, then turned to ask Chen Jianghe: "Are you serious about what you told me in the evening?"
"Of course." Chen Jianghe nodded and said, "The overseas market of GuoLiao Voice is crucial to the future development of the company. I am not good at English and cannot handle it myself. I am also worried about leaving it entirely to someone else. After much thought, you are the best candidate."
"But I haven't forgiven you yet." Jiang Yishu said.
"Then what should I do?" Chen Jianghe asked helplessly.
"I can be your assistant." Jiang Yishu responded affirmatively, and then said, "But you have to promise me one thing."
"You say." Chen Jianghe nodded, thinking that in this situation, she would probably make some emotional demands.
"Promise me that you will take good care of yourself and accompany me to Beijing when you have time in the future, okay?" Jiang Yishu asked seriously.
"Okay." Chen Jianghe agreed immediately.
Jiang Yishu thought for a moment and said, "Can we call Shao Hai and Qiu Ya?"
"It's pretty good." Chen Jianghe grinned. With those two idiots accompanying him, the journey was particularly interesting.
"Don't lie to me." Jiang Yishu pointed her finger at Chen Jianghe.
Chen Jianghe raised his hand to hook her, gently pulled her into his arms, looked down at her innocent face, and smiled, "A liar is a puppy."
Jiang Yishu stared at him, and suddenly stood on tiptoe to get closer and kiss him, pouting her cheeks and saying, "Brother is a puppy."
Chen Jianghe was slightly startled and wondered whether he should bark twice in response.
Jiang Yishu rested her chin on his shoulder and added in a low voice: "You took my heart away."
