Chapter 697: Cause and Effect (1)
Xiaoji Mountain, Mingxia Cave.
The ground is full of magical bamboos, with golden stems and silver leaves, stretching for tens of thousands of miles. In the bamboo forest, parrots fly around, thrushes dance, and a faint magical mist rises. From time to time, elves drive colorful rainbows the size of basins through the bamboo forest, sprinkling large areas of magical rain to nourish the various exotic flowers and rare elixirs in the bamboo forest.
In the Mingxia Cave, on a shining lotus platform, there is a Bodhisattva whose entire body is as white as jade, and who is dressed in gorgeous clothes with garlands. His long hair is tied into three buns on top of his head with a few silver flowers on it. He is smiling as he preaches to his many disciples, as well as to the arhats, heavenly kings, Vajra disciples and others.
Xiaoji Mountain, Mingxia Cave, and Xuanguang Bodhisattva.
He first talked about the way the clouds rise, then talked about the wonderful changes of the light clouds, and finally began to talk about how to use "light" as the foundation and "clouds" as flesh and blood to build a Buddhist kingdom and cultivate supernatural powers.
Those Heavenly Kings and Vajras who were not sufficiently skilled in cultivation were stunned when they heard this.
Dozens of disciples directly taught by the Bodhisattva of Dazzling Light, as well as a group of Arhats whose cultivation was above the twentieth heaven, listened with fascination. Various colored lights flashed on their bodies from time to time, among which there were faint illusions of various palaces, towers, mythical beasts and birds floating by.
The way of "Guangxia" is often denounced as "unorthodox" and "illusion to confuse the mind" in Taoism.
But in Buddhism, the path of "light haze" is openly listed as one of the "great ways" - the light haze changes, and it is easiest to "firm" the "faith" of secular believers, easiest to "show one's holiness before others", and easiest to gather "the power of incense and faith".
Just like the Bodhisattva of Distinction, his Mingxia Cave is not very large among the territories of several small Bodhisattvas nearby, and the number of secular people is not large, but with his painstaking management, the number of devout believers and fanatics in his territory far exceeds that of several of his neighbors.
With the blessing of these powerful incense sticks and faith, the practice of Xuanguang Bodhisattva has improved, and he has already constructed the embryonic form of the Buddha's kingdom, and has already glimpsed some of the mystery of the "great Bodhisattva" realm.
"It is said that light haze is invisible, intangible, erratic and powerless." The Dazzling Light Bodhisattva sat on the lotus platform and smiled at all the disciples: "However, if light is sublimated to the extreme, it is endlessly compressed and purified, then ordinary light haze can be transformed into something indestructible and incinerable..."
It was a rare good mood for the Bodhisattva Xuanguang, and he was just about to talk about some core essences of the "Guangxia" Buddhism that he had comprehended, when he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his chest and a series of "crackling" sounds came from his mind. Large amounts of blood plasma that changed gracefully like the rosy clouds spurted out of his seven orifices at the same time, and his head fell from the lotus platform.
In the Mingxia Cave, a group of Buddhist practitioners were so frightened that their faces turned pale. They jumped up hastily and supported their own Bodhisattvas with all their might. All kinds of life-saving elixirs, good and bad, high-level and low-level, were poured into the mouth of the dazzling Bodhisattva like boiled water .
The body of the Dazzling Bodhisattva was twitching, and sticky cold sweat with a hint of bloody smell continued to seep out of his pores.
Like a skinned bullfrog that had been electrified, the Dazzling Bodhisattva twitched for a long time, opened his mouth with great difficulty, and said in a hoarse voice: "My master's life-saving Buddhist treasure, the 'Mingxia Crown', has been broken... Go quickly, go, check, what happened to the nun 'Su Yu' who borrowed my 'Mingxia Crown'?..."
A group of Buddhist practitioners from Mingxia Cave scattered in a hurry. Through the teleportation array set up in the cave, they quickly came to Mingguang Cave on Yuanfu Mountain, the sect where Master Suyu was from. After a little inquiry, they learned that Master Suyu had borrowed the Mingxia Crown from Bodhisattva Xuanguang a few years ago, and then ran to the vicinity of Qionghua Mountain to wait for the new master of Qionghua Mountain, 'Fahai'!
A group of Buddhist practitioners from Mingxia Cave rushed to Qionghua Mountain in a hurry.
The news that the natal Buddha treasure of Xuanguang Bodhisattva, Mingxia Crown, was broken was immediately passed to the Happy Bodhisattva of Mingguang Cave. As a result, Happy Bodhisattva was "horrified" and sent his capable disciples to Qionghua Mountain to inquire about the news.
However, the teleportation array of Qionghua Mountain has not been activated... Even if it has been activated, it cannot be used because Qingjingdouer is trapped there.
Qionghua Mountain happened to be located in the southern region, surrounded by the forces of various Taoist temples. The teleportation array of the Taoist temple forces was obviously not connected with the Buddhist sect. The Buddhist cultivators of Mingxia Cave could only take the teleportation array set up by the Buddhist sect and travel from one station to another.
While a group of monks were still on their way, Lu Yi had already returned to the main peak of Mount Qionghua.
The Pure Dou covered the entire Qionghua Mountain. Under the pure Buddha light, Qionghua Mountain was frozen thousands of feet, and the entire main peak was frozen solid. Monk Xueying and other Buddhist practitioners of the Daming Jinlun Temple sat cross-legged outside the mountain gate archway, chanting mantras, constantly urging the Pure Dou to seal Qionghua Mountain.
The huge Qionghua Mountain, except for the 108-story pagoda on the top of the mountain, which released waves of prison-suppressing force fields and barely resisted the erosion of ice and snow, all other halls, lobby, pavilions, monasteries and other Zen temple buildings on the top of the mountain collapsed under the erosion of Qingjingdouer.
On the entire mountaintop, only Lu Yu was sitting on the highest floor of the pagoda, emitting a faint blood light from time to time to prove that he was still alive. At the same time, he used his internal energy to transmit his voice, spreading his good wishes and greetings to Monk Xue Ying and others throughout the area thousands of miles around.
Lu Yi appeared on the north side of the main peak of Mount Qionghua. The Buddhist practitioners including the Vajra, King of Heaven and others from Dajue Temple, as well as several little Bodhisattvas who were listed as ordinary disciples under Monk Yuanjue, discovered Lu Yi's return almost at the same time.
A large group of Buddhists rode auspicious clouds to greet them. Monk Hui Nian, who was in charge of setting up the formation and building many temple buildings for Mount Qionghua, clasped his hands together and said to Lu Yi in a deep voice, "Brother Fahai, you are finally back."
Monk Hui Nian's eyes sparkled with divine light as he told the origins of Monk Xue Ping and the origin of the Pure Pure Bag, the Buddhist treasure that covered Mount Qionghua.
Lu Yu's face twitched.
First, there was the demon girl from the Great Joy lineage... Oh, the White Lotus girl robbed them on the way, but I smashed them all and killed them. Now it's even better. The monks from the Great Secret Golden Wheel Temple directly borrowed the Buddha treasures of the Dragon Elephant Terma Buddha to besiege their own temple.
This monk Xue Ying has a low level of cultivation and status, and is one of the younger disciples of the Daming Jinlun Temple.
On the contrary, precisely because of his insufficient cultivation and status, his siege of Qionghua Mountain made the Buddhist practitioners of Dajue Temple feel restrained and unable to take the initiative to help Lu Yi expel the monks.
The 'unspoken rules' of the Liangyi Tian Buddhist sect!
Lu Yu cursed this so-called 'unspoken rule' in his heart - even Monk Huinian of Dajue Temple, a little bodhisattva with the cultivation level of the thirty-second heaven, was too embarrassed to make a move against Monk Xue Ying.
So, how did that old bald villain Iron Shackle Buddha, in the Baoyan Cave of Lingyuan Mountain, lower himself to attack his own family?
Oh, these rules are really only for those who "follow the rules".
If you really don't treat the rules as rules, then these rules are just garbage!
Lu Yu smiled, put his hands together, and thanked Monk Hui Nian and other Buddhist practitioners: "Thank you, Brother Hui Nian... Haha, thank you all for your help. Please stay for a while. This main peak Zen temple has been destroyed and needs to be rebuilt. I still need you to work hard."
A dark golden light shone in his eyes, and powerful forces of suppressing the prison turned into rolling force fields that swept around. Lu Yi smiled and said, "This time, the specifications of the Zen temple on the main peak of Qionghua Mountain, as well as the grades of all the formations and prohibitions, will be designed to be a hundred times the scale of the previous ones!"
Monk Hui Nian smiled slightly, pinching a string of Buddhist beads and whispering, "All the resources for the previous construction were provided by Dajue Temple... If the specifications of the main peak buildings are improved a hundredfold during this reconstruction, this resource..."
Lu Yi waved his hand and said, "Brother, don't worry. Materials and labor costs are not a problem."
The clouds beneath his feet suddenly descended, and Lu Yi went straight to the group of people led by Monk Xue Peng who were sitting at the entrance to Mount Qionghua.
Monk Xueying and the others had already seen Lu Yi return. He muttered in a low voice: "Su Yu and Su Xin are useless... Tsk, the Mingguang Cave lineage of Yuanfu Mountain is getting weaker with each generation... But it's okay, let me see what kind of magic this Fahai has that he became the third true Buddhist disciple of Dajue Temple!"
Shaking his big head, Monk Xuepeng jumped up, cold wind whistled around him, large pieces of ice crystals surged, and then the ice crystals transformed into a crystal wheel with a diameter of three meters behind his head, which slowly rotated. On the edge of the wheel, there were nine snow python-like light and shadows twisted and entangled.
The snow-colored Buddha light spread in all directions, instantly covering an area of a hundred miles in radius.
In the void, the temperature dropped sharply, and the terrifying chill turned into an invisible cold wind, rushing towards Lu Yi.
This is the most common fighting method of the disciples of the Dami Golden Wheel Temple - the Dami Golden Wheel Temple follows the path of physical cultivation, and its magical powers are rather crude and shabby. Many years ago, when the disciples of the Dami Golden Wheel Temple fought with others, there were often embarrassing situations where the disciples could not catch up with the enemy, could not find the enemy's true body, and were beaten black and blue by the enemy in a kite-flying manner.
Later, with the guidance of the Dragon-Elephant Buddha, the monk Shenjiu collected the ancient cold air from the center of the Great Snow Mountain and condensed it into an ice and snow Zen light. Once released, the extreme coldness would cover the void, freezing the enemy so that their noses and faces were swollen and their movements were slow. This made it easier for the disciples to get close to the enemy and crush them with their powerful physical strength.
If this kind of ice and snow Zen light is cultivated to a high level, it can even freeze the enemy's flying swords, magic weapons, talismans, and even various formations and prohibitions... When it reaches the level of Monk Shenjiu, the ice and snow Zen light he releases can even freeze the opponent's magical powers and spells out of thin air!
When Monk Xue Ying saw Lu Yu, he immediately released ice and snow Zen light, which was the most common way of fighting in the Daming Jinlun Temple.
On the three-meter-high treasure wheel behind his head, there were nine snow-python-shaped spiritual lights. They were the essences of the nine thousand-year-old snow pythons he had killed in the depths of the Great Snow Mountain, which he had extracted to make a sacrifice.
The nine ten thousand year old snow pythons all have a cultivation level higher than the ninth level of True Immortal.
After they were sacrificed and refined, their own innate magical powers were also integrated into this treasure wheel, which increased the power of the treasure wheel several times out of thin air and added a lot of ingenuity to the battles.
The vigorous, high-spirited and confident monk Xuepeng soared into the air and headed straight for Lu Yi without saying a word.
"Brother Fahai, I am Xueping, a humble monk. I am honored to meet you this time!"
Monk Xueying's right arm suddenly swelled up, and his arm became as thick as a water tank, about five or six feet long, and he punched Lu Yi straight in the chest.
Lu Yi laughed loudly, with a faint golden light emanating from his whole body, and also threw a punch directly down.
The sound of 'click' was heard constantly.
The surging power of the Prison and the icy Zen light collided with each other in the void. Large pieces of snow light were seen shattering and exploding piece by piece. Monk Xue Peng's face revealed an undisguised look of horror.
