Volume 3: The Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors Chapter 447: Nuwa leaves and Lieshan descends
Fuxi's enlightenment was something many people did not expect.
Some of the immortals were happy, some were excited, some sighed, some were silent, and some frowned...
Dark yellow clouds gathered on the top of Mount Tai and rain of merit began to fall.
Master Xuandu collected his own merits and rewarded him for helping Fuxi create characters.
But then the golden cloud of merit fell again, and this time it was much more, a full 30%.
Mingyu used the Tai Chi diagram to promote the changes of yin and yang in humanity, which enabled the Blue Emperor Taihao to condense his position. He shared these three merits equally with the Tai Chi diagram.
Fuxi enfeoffed the ministers of the human race with the Dragon Emperor's decree, so this Ancestral Dragon relic also received a share of merit, as much as 10%.
Most of the remaining merits fell on the wise men of the human race. They helped the Holy Emperor govern the world and made great contributions.
There were also some scattered merits that belonged to thousands of human beings, and even the people watching the ceremony on Mount Tai got a share.
Even if it's just a little bit, it makes everyone smile.
The Azure Dragon Supreme in the Far East looked back and gazed into the distance, his eyes full of light, illuminating the heaven and earth.
I saw thousands of human beings coming up to the stage to be conferred titles, I saw the sacred beings from all directions going to watch the ceremony, I saw the Holy Emperor of Humanity dominating the world, and I also saw that the destiny of the human race was as vast as a rainbow and as majestic as the sea.
He laughed and said, "He finally found his way!"
It was both unexpected and reasonable that Fuxi could achieve enlightenment. At least Qinglong did not think he could not succeed.
Behind him stood a saint of unfathomable strength, and in front of him stood a peerless Taoist master of unparalleled strategy.
And Fuxi himself is tough and strong enough.
If he cannot achieve enlightenment, Qinglong can't think of anyone else in the prehistoric world who can take this step.
So, when Mingyu came to discuss with him, Qinglong did not hesitate to bet 60% of the dragon clan's fortune.
If they win, they will exchange temporary hardship for an infinite future. After enduring a period of hardship, they will be able to become rich with the return of good fortune. If they lose, the dragon clan will lose 60% of its good fortune and will never get it back. The dragon clan cultivators will die out drastically, and even real dragons will not appear again.
But how bad can the situation get?
At worst, we can return to ancient times.
As long as he doesn't die, the dragon clan will not be destroyed.
As long as the race is immortal, everything is possible.
Besides, isn’t this a win?
Atop Mount Tai, a streak of golden light flew towards the East China Sea. The Dragon Emperor's decree had completed its mission, and its overall luster had dimmed somewhat. However, while it had temporarily lost its luck, it also carried back its merits, and would soon recover. It was nothing to worry about.
Qinglong reached out to take the decree and put it into his sleeve.
As dragon luck entered the human race, the majestic human luck also began to change, vaguely condensing into the outline of a golden dragon!
Although this change was very slow, and it would take more than a hundred or a thousand generations for the human race's luck to transform into a luck-filled golden dragon, so what? The dragon race had no shortage of time.
The day when the golden dragon of luck is formed is the day when the dragon clan breaks free from the shackles of karma and soars into the sky!
On the top of Mount Tai, Fuxi attained enlightenment.
At the beginning of the human race, Fuxi once said that he was willing to pave the way for the human race and would not regret it even if he died.
Now, a Holy Emperor who has reached the pinnacle and achieved the state of Hunyuan Wuji has truly opened up a great road to heaven for the human race!
Thousands of human beings were in tears, their Holy Emperor had attained enlightenment!
For a moment, the human beings on the top of Mount Tai felt their chests open and a sense of great heroic spirit gathered. They looked up to the sky and roared, their voices shaking the world.
"I only wish that the human race will be immortal and humanity will prosper forever!"
Countless human beings in the prehistoric land were also ecstatic. They roared loudly and sent their best wishes to the Holy Emperor.
In the vast land, all living things bow their heads.
Above the nine heavens, even the immortals and gods bow down.
The eight poles of space are filled with great power and perform rituals.
Saints in all the temples bow their heads.
Fuxi accepted congratulations from all living beings at the Fengshan Terrace. He was as eternally bright as the sun, his three thousand black hairs were like waterfalls, and his figure was tall and majestic.
Mingyu looked at the second in command, a smile on his handsome face like a falling swan feather, and he bowed to Fuxi.
"Praise to the Blue Emperor Taihao, the Holy Emperor Fuxi!"
On Mount Tai, all the sacred people watching the ceremony laughed and said in unison.
"Praise to the Blue Emperor Taihao, the Holy Emperor Fuxi!"
All living creatures in the world, including the gods of Luotian, were filled with laughter and tears upon hearing this, and could only follow suit and bow again.
"Praise to the Blue Emperor Taihao, the Holy Emperor Fuxi!"
The Three Pure Ones and the Two Saints also laughed and bowed their heads in congratulations.
In the vast wilderness, the black-clothed goddess holding the Heavenly Sword suddenly looked back. Her stern face melted slightly, revealing a faint smile, like a blooming snow lotus, so beautiful that it was beyond words.
In front of her was a world barrier. A wisp of black mist took advantage of the goddess's distraction to rush out of the barrier and escape in panic.
The goddess didn't even turn her head, but just raised her jade hand and slashed another knife in the direction of the black fog's escape.
This knife cuts through the chaos and slashes across endless time and space!
The power of destruction raged, wiping out that thought.
After doing all this, the goddess put away her knife and stopped, staying there for a while.
During this time, the mysterious light of creation filled the place, and the three thousand divine chains of creation seemed to be replenishing something. Finally, the goddess left a mark and then turned into a rainbow and left.
In the southern continent of Jambudvīpa, the yellow-robed goddess reunited with the black-robed goddess and the white-robed goddess.
When they saw Fuxi reach the top and humanity was beginning to settle, they pursed their lips and a beautiful and gentle smile appeared on their faces.
"Brother has attained enlightenment, so we should leave with peace of mind!" The eyes of the goddess in white were like a pool of clear water, her eyebrows were relaxed, and she smiled sweetly.
The Black-robed Goddess nodded: "If I don't go and take a look, I really can't rest assured. Anyway, my brother has already become a Hun Yuan, so it's okay for us to go out for a while."
The Yellow-robed Goddess hesitated, a hint of sadness in her soft eyes. "We don't know when we'll be back. Doesn't that mean we won't be able to see our precious disciple for a long time? What if they bully him?"
"Sixth sister, Mingyu is the best in the world, not the little Qingluan from before. Besides, with his mindset, it's good enough that he doesn't think about how to bully others. Who can bully him?" The black-robed goddess held her forehead and sighed.
"Let's go first. My elder sister and the others are still following us. If you want to see them, you can come back and exchange souls. We are one, so there is no problem." The goddess in white also smiled.
"Well, that's true!"
When the yellow-robed goddess thought of this, her clear eyes, like the blue waves, were filled with a faint warmth, and the curve of her mouth was as perfect as a crescent moon.
"Let's go, I want to see how lively it is over there!" The black-robed goddess' eyes lit up.
The goddess in white shook her head slightly and said, "No, I don't like crowds. The more crowded it is, the more trouble there is."
"That's right, if it's too lively, it will take up a lot of time and delay me from coming back to see my disciples. It's not good at all!" The Yellow-robed Goddess nodded in agreement and expressed her admiration.
The black-robed goddess was at a loss for words: "Sixth sister, you really are! Little Phoenix will probably cry if she knows you're so biased!"
"It doesn't matter. I like Mingyu anyway. Doesn't Fourth Sister prefer Feng girl?" The Yellow-robed Goddess spread her hands indifferently.
The white-robed goddess's serene eyes rippled as she said, "Ahem, just chat if you want, why bring me into this? Actually, I'd rather just enjoy the scenery..."
"Oh~~, so Fourth Sister doesn't like Feng girl. Then why did you stay in Tiannan for tens of thousands of years? Don't tell me you were here to see the scenery. What's so interesting about a bunch of volcanoes!" The goddess in yellow blinked very gently.
"Wow! Sixth sister, I didn't expect your words to be so sharp. Did you just steal my thoughts?"
"You are me and I am you, what is the difference between us?"
"Tsk, if you're brave enough, let's switch. I want to see if there's anything else in your eyes besides your precious disciple!"
“No!”
The Yellow-robed Goddess refused directly without any hesitation.
The three goddesses chatted and laughed as they left the ancient world together and headed straight into the depths of chaos.
In the Wuji Land, all Daos were shocked. Hongjun, the Great Heavenly Dao, opened his eyes and looked towards the prehistoric world. He took in all the changes and nodded slightly.
"good!"
He closed his eyes again, and all things returned to their original flow, and everything calmed down in an instant. The vast Wuji land fell into a state of stillness again. Only the primitive world was still performing infinite changes and endless possibilities.
…
After the Fengshan ceremony at Mount Tai, Fuxi once again rode on the Thunder Chariot to tour the world, this time to inspect the world of the human race!
The holy way is glorious, and humanity is flourishing.
All the mountains and seas bowed down, and all the gods of the myriad races retreated.
Everyone in the world understands that this is the era of the human race!
Fuxi toured the world for three hundred years and returned to Mount Tai, using it as a place of practice. The Blue Emperor Taihao was the master, followed by the auxiliary god Ju Mang.
He himself returned to Chendu to take charge.
At this time, Fuxi did not directly resign from the position of co-leader, but was waiting for his successor.
When the chiefs of thirteen tribes, including Dating, Yinkang, and Haoying, learned of Fuxi's intention, they all wanted to take over. They were eager to contribute more diligently to the human race, and to use their respective powers to benefit countless human beings, hoping to gain the favor of the Holy Emperor.
Mount Tai, Qingdi Garden.
The God of Spring, Jumang, received many petitions this year.
Some are prayers for a good harvest, some are about reproduction, some are about marriage, some are about opportunities, and some have their own agendas, and every word seems to be asking for credit and reward.
"What's all this? I'm the God of Spring. I understand praying for a good harvest, but matters of marriage and reproduction are not my responsibility. Isn't that the job of the two little dragon girls in the Temple of Life?"
"And these guys, don't be too outrageous. Where can you find an innate spiritual treasure? If I knew where it is, I would tell you! Go wherever is cool!"
"The Dating clan is truly persistent. It's been years, and they've submitted memorials year after year seeking credit. Fuxi doesn't even look at them, so you might as well go to Chendu and make your presence felt!"
"Wait, what does this petition say? How can we increase our strength to defeat the witch tribe in the south? This is a petition from the demon tribe, right?"
Ju Mang looked at the pile of petitions from the demon tribe in the wishing pool and felt a little pain in his teeth.
"Fuxi, you're really capable. You're also accepting the wish from Uttarakuru? You must be free!"
He searched in the wishing pool again and indeed found the petition from the witch clan.
Then Ju Mang threw away the other petitions, picked out the part about the witch clan, and began to review it with relish.
The reports of the witch clan are also varied. Today this witch comprehends a great supernatural power, tomorrow he is beaten by other witches, and the day after tomorrow they go to the north together to fight with the demon clan, and so on.
Ju Mang reviewed the petitions from the witch clan for seven days in a row and processed them all. He glanced at the wishing pool and saw that the number of petitions was still increasing, which gave him a headache.
"Forget it, since Fuxi is not here, I might as well give myself a break!"
So Ju Mang happily went to hide away.
"Aren't you working hard again?"
As soon as Ju Mang rested, Fuxi came back and caught him red-handed.
Ju Mang was not at all flustered and skillfully changed the subject: "You've been out for so long, have you found it?"
Fuxi kicked him off the throne of the Blue Emperor, and then leaned lazily, "I found it, but I can't decide yet. I have to take a look."
Ju Mang tried to dodge but failed and was hit hard and kicked out of the hall.
He was about to get angry, but when he heard this, his eyes turned and his anger disappeared instantly. He put on a smile again and walked up to Fuxi and asked,
"Where is he? Do you want me to go check?"
Ju Mang didn't intend to care at all about Fuxi kicking him.
"you?"
Fuxi glanced at him.
Ju Mang became unhappy instantly.
"Hey, hey, hey, what do you mean? I'm your god after all. Don't you have this little bit of trust?"
"I do believe it..."
Only then did Ju Mang smile.
Fuxi changed the subject and said, "I believe you will mess it up!"
"you!"
Ju Mang was furious.
Fuxi smiled faintly, "Don't even think about it. The next person to assist the Holy Emperor will come from one of the Three Religions. My attainment of the Infinite Dao has already greatly weakened the influence of the Three Religions on the human race. If you interfere again, don't blame me for not warning you if you get caught!"
After hearing this, Ju Mang said disapprovingly, "You have attained enlightenment, yet you are still afraid of them?"
"It's not about fear, it's about following the rules."
Fuxi shook his head. "The human race has just begun its development, and I don't want to add any more variables to it. Assisting the three religions isn't a bad thing. Although saints may have selfish motives, they also have holy hearts. Educating the world and enlightening all living beings is truly a great merit, and there's no need to stop them."
Ju Mang sneered: "Then why don't you see the saints teach our people!"
Fuxi remained silent.
There is a tributary of the river called Jiangshui. On the bank of Jiangshui lives a tribe that relies on the water and takes Jiang as their surname.
In the Jiang tribe, a woman named Ren Si was traveling in Huayang. She became pregnant and gave birth to a son by the Jiang River, and named him Lieshan.
The child had a very strange appearance, with a human body and an ox head. However, a supernatural child would be loved by the tribe, especially with the example of the holy king Fuxi, so Lieshan did not suffer any abuse since he was born.
Lieshan learned about farming at the age of three. When he grew up, he was eight feet seven inches tall, with a dragon-like face and large lips. He was thin and his body was transparent except for his limbs and head. He had a natural affinity for plants and loved all kinds of herbs and grains.
In the Jiangshui River Basin, many tribes began to fight for water resources, and people from the Jiang tribe were often injured or even killed in the fights.
Lieshan hated fighting and believed that the casualties and fighting among the tribesmen were due to insufficient food. At the same time, he wanted to treat the injured tribesmen. So he planned to follow the example of the ancient sages and develop new resources for the entire human race to eliminate war.
Because Fuxi developed livestock to obtain food for the human race, and human tribes continued to domesticate wild beasts, further development in this area would not have much effect.
Because he loved flowers and plants since he was a child, and saw that cattle, sheep and other poultry fed on various flowers and plants, Lieshan prepared to find plants as food for the human race.
Humans gather food based on plants such as cardamom. Unfortunately, these wild fruits are difficult to grow on a large scale. Not only do the fruit trees have a long growth cycle, but the yield after maturity is also small, making it difficult to meet human needs.
Lieshan was born with a crystal belly, so transparent that even his internal organs could be seen clearly. He could observe the effects of any flower, plant, or fruit he consumed. Because of this miraculous belly, Lieshan began to travel extensively, tasting various herbs to select those that could heal humans and those that would serve as their staple food.
He traveled between mountains and rivers, recording the properties of medicinal herbs and cultivating edible varieties. With his unremitting efforts, Lieshan finally cultivated five kinds of grains: rice, millet, sorghum, wheat, and beans.
Lieshan passed on the five grains to his people and taught them how to grow them. The Jiang tribe bid farewell to their life of relying solely on fishing and hunting and began to farm. The human tribes along the Jiang River rushed to follow his example, asking Lieshan to pass on the five grains and learn his farming techniques. As a result, the Jiangshui tribes became prosperous.
As Lieshan's deeds spread, people honored him by the name of Shennong.
