Volume 5: The Burning Golden Flame Chapter 324 Crown

"I've told you, ma'am, if you keep communicating with others in this manner, you'll run into trouble with Jon sooner or later. He's not like the students you met in Hogwarts Castle before."
Nick shrugged and said with a bit of gloating to Ms. Grey, who was standing there in a daze with an obviously unhappy look on her face.
After hearing his words, Ms. Grey came back to her senses. The proud expression on her originally transparent face seemed to be a little bit off. She did not answer Nick, but turned around and left.
Nick looked at this lady who was five hundred years older than him according to the time she became a ghost, but still looked like a girl who had not grown up, and secretly made a funny face.
Then, he quietly passed through the wall and came to Jon's dormitory.
Neville was travelling in Toulouse with the Weasleys, so Jon was the only one in the dorm.
Jon was brushing his teeth when Nick arrived.
He held the mandrake leaf in his mouth for a whole month. Although this magical herb itself has some self-cleaning functions, it still gave Jon a strange feeling psychologically. Even though he has spit out the leaf, his saliva still has a strange taste.
"Hey, I thought you would wait until the first day of school to come back, why didn't you play for two more days?"
Given the relationship between Nick and him, there's certainly no need to be so formal.
Jon rinsed his mouth and spit out the foam, then spoke casually.
"No matter what, there's still a game to prepare for later. Also, can I take it that you're trying to change the subject?"
Nick rubbed his hands sheepishly.
"Let me make it clear first. I didn't tell her about your patronus. She got the news from England and came to find me."
John hadn't originally thought of pursuing him about the Patronus. This matter had already been known to Voldemort's men, so it didn't matter whether it was concealed or not.
" So , she actually came here mainly for me?"
After wiping his mouth, Jon sat down on the edge of the bed and looked at Nick and asked.
Nick nodded.
"Yes, I don't know how she got the information about you in England, and then she found me at the beginning of summer vacation. At that time, I thought she came for Mr. Slytherin's portrait, but she just met the portrait once and returned from Dumbledore in anger. It seems that she did not get along well ."
Of course, their relationship would not be very pleasant. Jon, who knew the life of Ms. Grey, could imagine what attitude Slytherin would have towards the daughter of his former friend.
Not to mention that he later broke up with the other three founders and ran away from school. Even if their old friendship was still there, it would only make him look down on this unfilial daughter who stole her mother's things and ran away.
"I originally thought that she would leave after seeing Mr. Slytherin again, but I didn't expect that she would find me again and ask me about you."
Jon was peeling an apple with a fruit knife. Based on the questions Ms. Grey had just asked him, he could roughly guess the reasons even with his toes.
"She came to me because she guessed there was some special relationship between me and Hogwarts Castle?"
"Yes, although she was hiding it at first, you know, although I was not familiar with her in the castle before, we have known each other for hundreds of years anyway. I know her personality. After a few questions, I found out her intentions in coming to you."
Nick looked at Jon, and his expression finally became serious.
"She wants your help in retrieving Rowena Ravenclaw's relics."
After listening to this, Jon took a bite of the apple in his hand.
"That crown?"
Nick looked at him in surprise.
"You know what it is?"
"Not only do I know, I've also seen that thing once." The apple was very crisp, and Jon took a bite. "You should know that before I met you at sea, I had sneaked into Hogwarts Castle to steal the Book of Admission and the Pen of Acceptance. To get these two things, you must first enter the principal's office. There are four things placed on the desk in the principal's office."
"The locket of Slytherin, the sword of Gryffindor, the cup of Hufflepuff, and the diadem of Ravenclaw. "
This was the first time Nick heard about this from Jon. He did know that Jon had sneaked into the castle before, but he didn't know what was hidden in the principal's office.
The shock was evident in Nick's voice.
"The Dark Lord has gathered all the relics of the four founders?"
He obviously didn't know anything about Horcruxes.
"Why didn't you take them back then?"
Jon threw the clean fruit core into the trash can.
"Please, think about it carefully, Nick. If you were the Dark Lord, would you put four precious things like this on the desk in the principal's office for no reason? If he didn't want others to find them, there are so many places in the world where he could hide them, but why did he have to hide them in a place where the enemy is most likely to go?"
"You mean, those four items are cursed by dark magic?"
"I don't know if there is a curse, but they are definitely not normal. Besides, my main goal at the time was not to take these relics away. There is no need to bear unnecessary accidents for them."
Jon stroked his chin and turned the conversation back to Lady Grey.
"In other words, this Lady Grey knows that the diadem is in Hogwarts Castle, and she wants me to help her find it? Then why doesn't she go find it herself? Isn't it better for a ghost to act in the castle? The Dark Lord's men can't do anything to her."
Nick spread his hands.
"Gabrielle follows you around every day and gives you an illusion, Jon. A normal ghost has no way of touching a real object. Even if she could find it in the castle, she wouldn't be able to take it out."
Jon slapped his forehead. He had indeed forgotten about this matter.
"She shouldn't have the attitude to ask someone for help. Besides, she was the one who foolishly gave the item away, so why should I help her get it back?"
His last two words were muffled, and Nick didn't hear them.
"Ghosts are like this. Even though we continue to exist in this world after death, our mentality actually always remains at the time before death. Time cannot affect our souls, so naturally there is no way for us to grow much more than before. Ms. Grey is a typical example."
Nick looked at Jon and asked with a blink.
"So, you're going to help her?"
