Volume 7: Frost Chapter 41: Sand
The grains of sand formed a line and fell downwards.
Tang Butian turned her head and saw a grain of sand, oval in shape, light brown, glowing with a warm light, with some small holes on the surface and some white flocs inside.
The grain of sand fell downwards.
She heard the sound of wind, the wind blew the sand, the sand grains rolled and flowed, and that grain of sand fell in. It was squeezed by other sands, it swayed left and right, retreated a little, and then completely mixed into the quicksand.
She saw a lot of sand , colliding, rubbing, making crisp sounds, rolling forward, gathering into torrents, pressing towards her like a flood covering the sky and the sun...
Tang Butian gripped the wooden sword tightly.
Her eyes went dark, and she swung the sword with her backhand, the wooden sword seemed to be cutting through the air. Then, she felt herself falling rapidly.
There is not a ray of light.
Also hear any sound.
She fell in darkness and silence.
Tang Butian suddenly pursed her lips. She felt something swimming in the darkness, approaching and gathering towards her.
There was a pain in my fingertips.
It seemed as if she was bitten by a small insect. A cold energy entered her body, eroding her strength...
Her body suddenly stopped falling, and a dark light floated on the blade, which drew a circle in the darkness. The sand on her clothes fell off, and the small insects in the darkness were forced out of the circle.
The girl stood in the void holding a knife.
She could feel more and more bugs coming towards her.
She couldn't hold out for long.
She had to get out of here.
She lowered her head, her mind completely immersed in the wooden sword. Dark light moved on the blade, gradually gathering into ancient symbols.
The little bugs in the darkness finally broke through the restriction and rushed towards her body. The bugs swarmed over her body like shadows, and the cold energy seeped into her body.
Tang Butian didn't move.
Shadows crept up her cheeks and spread toward her eyes.
She didn't move.
Her body gradually became stiff, and she felt a familiar sense of separation, as if these energies were gradually eroding her connection with the main world.
The insect swam almost under her eyelid, and its extremely thin, curved tail was about to pierce her eyelid.
The blade began to tremble, and her hands began to tremble along with the wooden sword.
Tang Butian opened her eyes.
The light from the blade illuminated her face. Her hairband broke and her long hair fluttered in the wind.
She turned her head and looked somewhere in the darkness.
The shadow twisted.
The tip of the knife sank downwards, and Tang Butian took half a step forward. Then, the wooden sword turned into a flying rainbow and rushed towards that place with Tang Butian.
At the same time, the insects swimming on her body fell down as if they had lost their lives.
She heard a sound.
The sound of flowing sand.
She slashed at the darkness.
It was sand, and the wooden sword chopped into the flowing sand. It was a huge vortex of quicksand, and she was swept into it, like a grain of sand falling into the desert.
The wooden sword was pressed down by the sand, and the heavy sand pressed down on her, and the handle of the sword gradually slipped away from her hand...
At this time...
A hand grabbed the back of her collar.
…
Jiang You pulled Tang Butian out. He held her collar and shook her vigorously several times. Then he walked forward while shaking her.
After reaching a safe place, he suddenly saw Tang Butian glaring at him.
Jiang You asked: "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Tang Butian said, "Don't shake."
"Oh, this," Jiang You put her on the ground and said, "You should have told me earlier. It's very heavy for me to carry. Have you eaten too much recently?"
"Not much." After Tang Butian stood firm , he patted the sand off his body.
There is sand in my hair and clothes.
The wooden sword was also covered with sand.
"Would you like some Coke?" Jiang You took out a small bottle of Coke from his backpack and shook it at Tang Butian.
Tang Butian reached out to take it, and she saw sand on the back of her hand and between her nails.
Jiang You comforted her and said, "Just bear with it. You can take a shower when you get home. I'm covered in sand too."
Tang Butian unscrewed the cap of the Coke, tilted her head back and drank half the bottle in one gulp. Then she asked, "Where are Guan Qingtong and Zhu Wen?"
"Didn't you beat Zhu Wen away? Guan Qingtong doesn't know that," Jiang You also opened a bottle of Coke. He drank two sips carefully and then screwed the lid on. "From my perspective, she is safe now. They are all safe. We can still count on Zhu Wen to find someone to save us."
Tang Butian looked around. They seemed to be in a tunnel. There was some light falling from above the tunnel. She asked, "Where are we now?"
"Under the desert."
"Where's Jiang Mo?"
"He's gone to play," Jiang You sat on the ground and said, "Let's take a break first, eat something, and then leave when he comes back."
Hearing this, Tang Butian also sat on the ground.
"I almost died just now," she said suddenly.
"No."
"I seem to understand what you said, the rules, and some other things."
"What do you think?" Jiang You asked.
Tang Butian thought about it and shook her head again, "I can't say it now."
She picked up the wooden sword and applied a little force with her fingers, causing the sand on the blade to fall to the ground. "But I think I can control this sword. Of course, not now."
"fine."
Tang Butian looked into Jiang You's eyes and said, "Thank you."
There was some sand on her cheeks.
"You're welcome," Jiang You took out a small bag of wet wipes from his bag, tore open the package, took out the wet wipes, wiped her face, and then Tang Butian carefully wiped his hands with the tissue.
Jiang You took out a bag of dried beef and handed it to Tang Butian, "Replenish your energy."
Tang Butian reached out and took one, took a bite, and chewed it slowly. The strength in her body was slowly recovering, and she said, "I plan to go back to the mountain. After I go back... "
"Retreat?"
"No," Tang Butian denied, "If what Guan Qingtong said is true, their memories have been tampered with, but it's impossible on the mountain. I don't think it's possible that everyone on the mountain has forgotten everything. I want to go and ask. After this matter is over, I will go into seclusion with peace of mind."
"How many years do you plan to stay in seclusion?"
"possible."
"Then take me with you this time and let me broaden my horizons." Jiang You said.
"Okay." Tang Butian agreed.
"I want to ride a crane." Jiang You continued to make requests.
"Okay." Tang Butian agreed to the second floor again.
"Can I cook the crane?"
Tang Butian turned around and glared at him.
"I'm just asking," Jiang You drank a sip of Coke, "After I go back, I'm going to lie in bed for a week. I won't even get up to eat, and I'll have soy sauce brought to my bedside to feed me."
A ball of spider silk hit him in the face.
Tang Butian raised his head and saw Jiang Mo staggering towards him from not far away.
