Volume 7: Frost Chapter 53 Abnormal
After smoothing Jiang Mo's hair, Jiang You went back to his room to sleep.
He slept very soundly. He woke up once to remember to open the shop. He looked toward the window in a daze. It was dark, so he thought it was still early, so he turned over and continued to sleep.
When I woke up again, it was already bright day.
He felt thirsty and hungry, so he got up in a daze, went downstairs, walked into the kitchen, found a bottle of Coke from the refrigerator, opened it and drank half of the bottle in one breath. A wave of air rushed up and he vomited it out of his mouth.
Only then did he feel a little more sober.
He put down the Coke, walked to the store door and opened it.
The sunlight was let in, falling on his face and body. The flowerbed was lush and green, and chirps flew out from it, flapping their wings and bringing in the sweet sunlight.
Jiang You looked towards the pond for a while, and suddenly he spoke, "Xiao Ya, what time is it now?"
Xiaoya replied: "It is 10:04 in the morning now."
After listening, Jiang You turned around and walked upstairs. Halfway up, he stopped, then walked back to the room quickly and found his phone next to the pillow. It was out of battery. He plugged it into the charger, turned it on after a few seconds, and checked the date. It was the next morning. He had slept for a day and a half.
After replying to several WeChat messages, he saw the WeChat message Yang Xuan sent him yesterday. She forwarded him a link and added a comment: Look, big melon!
Jiang You clicked on the link.
It was a press release from a marketing account, saying that Liu Zeyan was in an abnormal state while recording a variety show one month ago, which resulted in all his shots being cut. The specific details were not made clear, but there were a lot of groundless speculations and irrelevant ramblings.
After reading it, Jiang You felt that his brain power was too much, and he urgently needed to replenish carbohydrates. It happened that his mobile phone was half charged. After brushing his teeth and wiping his face, he went downstairs again, walked out of the insect house, turned right to Xiaofangzhai, and said to Lao Yin as soon as he entered the door: "A bowl of pickled mustard greens and shredded pork noodles, plus two large chops."
While placing the order, Lao Yin asked, "Just got back? You were out for a long time this time."
"I came back the day before yesterday. I slept all day and finally recovered a little."
Old Yin looked at his tanned round face and asked, "Where did you go?"
Jiang You replied: "I went to the desert."
"No wonder, my nephew worked on a construction site for a whole summer and got about as tanned as you," Old Yin brought the noodles to Jiang You, "Did he go with a tour group or on his own?"
"I went there with a few friends, including some who specialized in outdoor activities. We had a car and brought a lot of equipment, including a tent, things for boiling water and cooking outdoors, water, and all kinds of food..." Jiang You first drank a mouthful of the noodle soup, then started eating it in big mouthfuls, looking very hungry.
After eating half a bowl of rice, Jiang You felt alive again. He took out his cell phone and checked the news. Nothing major happened during his sleep. He switched back to WeChat and replied to Yang Xuan’s message: Any inside gossip?
Yang Xuan replied immediately: Your reaction time is too long.
Jiang You: I just turned on the camera
Yang Xuan: Are you in the store?
Jiang You: Yes, come over?
Yang Xuan: Wait a minute.
Jiang You put down his phone, scooped up the remaining noodles, and ate the ribs clean. He walked to the counter and noticed that the menu on the wall had changed back to normal. He asked, "You're not serving dim sum anymore?"
"No, I talked to your friend, Xiao Ding, last time and tried it. During that period, the turnover was slightly higher, but there were more materials to prepare and more time, so it was not cost-effective."
Jiang You paid the money, "I think it's best not to change."
"Did you notice any difference when you ate today?"
Jiang You looked at Lao Yin's secretive expression and asked, "Changed the cook? I didn't notice it."
"I opened a branch, and the original chef went there first."
"Where is it opened?"
"The place in the west of the city that Xiao Ding helped choose is pretty good."
"Congratulations, congratulations. If I go there to eat, can I get a discount?"
"I'll give you 20% off," Lao Yin gave Jiang You a cigarette. They walked to the door of the store and Lao Yin said, "The guy in your store, Xiao Lin, he sometimes comes here to eat and seems to be quite diligent."
"Yeah," Jiang You said with a bitter face, "I almost don't dare to show up in the store, for fear of being urged to work by him."
Jiang You smoked a cigarette at Lao Yin's place, chatted for a while, and then returned to the insect house.
As soon as I stepped into the yard, I saw a pink-haired girl standing under the camphor tree, teasing Jiujiu with snacks.
Hearing the noise, Yang Xuan turned around and was stunned when she saw Jiang You. "You went to move bricks? Why are you so tanned?"
"I went out to play," Jiang You locked the door to the yard, "Why did you come so quickly?"
"I'm getting my nails done at Jiumei Plaza, a shop my friend just opened." Yang Xuan waved her hand at Jiang You. Her nails were painted pink and decorated with fried eggs and small petals .
"It looks pretty good," Jiang You looked at her hair, "Why did you dye your hair again?"
"I'm going to be the heroine!" Yang Xuan said excitedly.
"Really?"
"real!"
"Let's talk inside the store, don't get tanned."
As they spoke, Jiang You and Yang Xuan walked into the store.
"What do you want to drink?" Jiang You walked into the kitchen and opened the refrigerator door. He took out a bottle of hawthorn soda first, then looked at Yang Xuan and said, "You can only drink plain water, right?"
"No, I'm gaining weight," Yang Xuan leaned half of her body into the refrigerator, taking a Coke and saying, "The role requires it, the role requires it."
"What kind of role is this?" Jiang You was a little curious.
Yang Xuan closed the refrigerator door, turned her head, and her hair flew to the side. She said, "Is this the role that Brother Huan got by selling himself?"
Seeing Jiang You about to laugh, she immediately stopped him and said, "Don't laugh, seriously, Brother Huan is really betting all his family fortune this time."
"What role is it?"
"It's a very lively role. The director said that it should be plump, not fat, but also not bony. Anyway, my understanding is that I need to gain weight, and have pink hair, and it has to be half dyed and half undone." Yang Xuan took a sip of Coke. "The director is a friend of Brother Huan, and they seem to have a good relationship. I went to Douban and saw that the work has a high rating, but I haven't even heard of it."
"Art film?"
“No, it’s a science fiction movie.”
"Science fiction? How much did you sell Brother Huan for?"
"It's not the kind that requires special effects. Well, I can't tell you," Yang Xuan said as she walked out of the kitchen and sat down at the long table. "The director also told me that I must forget everything I learned during the summer vacation. It was a waste of money."
Jiang You took out two bags of potato chips and asked, "Sakura or grape flavor, which one do you want?"
"What a perverted taste," Yang Xuan chose the grape flavor. After unpacking it, she ate a piece. "Are there popping candies in it?" She looked at the package again. "Sparkling potato chips, no wonder they taste this way. By the way, did you read about Liu Zeyan's story?"
"I saw it, what's wrong?"
