The protagonists of the story are a little monk and a girl named Liu who lives in Ruyi Tower.
Fifty-three years ago, Ruyi Tower was the most famous dance hall in Chang'an. The girls there were extremely beautiful, good at singing and dancing, and many dignitaries fought overtly and secretly for a good position in Ruyi Tower. The little monk and Miss Liu met here.
In order to save Miss Liu, the young monk accidentally killed someone. Miss Liu said that the man had committed many evil deeds and deserved to die. So she took the young monk who wanted to apologize and started to travel far away to the rivers and lakes, doing justice along the way. Many people have received their kindness. But later, they still couldn't escape the disaster in their lives.
